We are excited to announce that Maylord Orchards will be teaming up with the Herefordshire Council Markets Team to bring you a Hereford City Christmas Festival that perfectly compliments the annual Lights Switch On hosted by Hereford City Council & Sunshine Radio.
The festive fun begins at 12 noon all the way through to 6pm!
𝐀 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝
Wander through a sparkling trail of OVER 50 festive market stalls stretching along Widemarsh Street, Maylord Street, Trinity Square & Gomond Street, plus explore a LARGE INDOOR MARKET inside the former Wilko unit—packed with makers, creators, and unique seasonal gifts.
Family Fun All Day
Look out for a few photo opportunities with some familiar faces for some!
Meet Santa & Mrs Claus in our lovely Grotto
Enjoy festive activities and free face painting & balloon modelling for the little ones, plus festival hair makeovers with an added sparkle!
Lego play and colouring activities
Soak up live music & entertainment throughout the afternoon, while sampling delicious local food & drink, including hot Pork & Turkey rolls, Mac N Cheese, flatbreads and Indian dishes, accompanied by your favourite festive tipple.

𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 for the SANTA'S GROTTO & FACE PAINTING, though voluntary donations are gratefully accepted for our chosen Christmas Charity-Megan Baker House, supporting children and adults with motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Stroke and more.

At 5pm, don’t miss the Maylord Orchards Christmas Lights Switch On, perfectly timed to complement the Hereford City Lights Switch On—filling the city with festive magic and twinkling lights.
Enjoy the unique sounds of the Highland Bagpiper to finish off our festive celebrations

Don't be surprised to see a wondering 12th Century Knight in shining armour walking around our event and maybe some fun combat sessions with swords. Interesting delve in to living in the 12th Century - festive style.
